A few friends and nearby residents gathered in front of our shophouse back in July,2008.
The press people, TV and newspapers, were there too to hear our complaints.
So did the police who had to make their presence felt.
They must have thought we were going to be rowdy.
They were wrong.
Except for a rather extensive media coverage,
Nothing changed.
